We'd like to welcome our newest client, The Bridge Inc.! The Bridge are a brilliant disability services provider based in Melbourne's east, offering a range of services to meet the needs of individuals, families and businesses in the region. The team at the Bridge has been an absolute pleasure to work with and we're so excited to be producing two videos for their organisation. We're looking forward to sharing some of their stories over the next few months.
We're pretty chuffed to be featured in the November/December issue of Frankie Magazine talking all things Yarn! We spoke with Koren Helbig about what we do and Hilary Walker snapped a pic of us in our studio. Strange to be on the other side of the interview! You can find a snippet of the article below.
We're in good company in this issue - over the page you'll find our Brisbane sleepwear friends ALAS talking about their latest project, and further along you'll find another friend from Brisbane, Musician Thelma Plum.
Thanks Frankie Mag!
Katrina and I are really pleased to be producing a brand story for BOH Dental, a well known and trusted Dental practice based in the Brisbane CBD, established almost 40 years ago. We've had a great time getting to know the BOH team over the last few weeks and it's always a pleasure to talk with people who love their work. They are such a passionate team, approaching Dentistry with complete integrity and truly caring about their patients. We're looking forward to sharing this brand story in the coming months!

Katrina and I are so pleased to share 'In The Making', our eight-part campaign for the Victorian College of the Arts, here in Melbourne. See below for the 60 second trailer for the series.
We've had a brilliant time over the last few months getting to know our seven alumni and the Director of the VCA, Su Baker. It's been a real thrill to talk about art and creativity and then to shape those conversations into eight distinct videos. We're so proud of the final result.
Thank you again to Paula Binnie, Ted Wilson, Tobias Manderson-Galvin, Corrie Chen, Fred Fowler, Maggie Miles, Chris Parkinson and Su Baker, plus the two academics we spoke with, Ben Michael and Raimondo Cortese. Spending time with our subjects is crucial to these docos, so we really appreciated the openness and honesty of all of you and the time you gave us. The interviews were so interesting that it's kind of a shame that the videos are only three minutes long!
To see the eight completed videos, head to the 'Work' tab above, or visit the campaign website: www.inthemaking.com.au
Another big thank you to our wonderful crew on this project:
DOPs - Nik Lachajczak and Conan Fitzpatrick
Editors - Maria Papoutsis, Greg Cooper and Rohan Cooper
Composer: Rob Law
Sound editor: Tfer Newsome
Colourist: Kali Bateman
We hope you enjoy the videos - we loved making them.

Katrina and I are slightly delirious after a productive week shooting most of the vision for our eight-part series "In The Making" for the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA).
We visited a sheep stud with Paula Binnie, talked Screenwriting with Ben Michael, saw Tobias Manderson-Galvin's play 'Thank You, Thank You Love' with his former tutor Raimondo Cortese; we visited Fred Fowler's art studio, helped Paula Binnie shoot video art, had coffee with Corrie Chen, a whisky with Su Baker, and drank Ethiopian coffee with Chris Parkinson at the Emerge Festival.
Katrina and I would like to thank all of our alumni - and the VCA Director, Su Baker - for making time for us over the last few weeks. We'd also like to thank our two DoPs Nik Lachajczak and Conan Fitzpatrick. We're so excited to share the finished films in a few weeks' time, but for now we have some behind-the-scenes photos from the weekend.

We're so pleased to be working with the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) on an eight-part online video campaign. We're producing seven profiles on recently graduated alumni and one profile on the Director of VCA, Professor Su Baker. The campaign will coincide with the launch of the new VCA website, and the videos will be released in July 2014.
We're having a great time shooting these stories in and around Melbourne. Stay up to date with our shoot on Instagram and Facebook!

Katrina and I just arrived back in Melbourne after a great week in Adelaide at the documentary conference AIDC. We attended primarily with our film Stingray Sisters.
A conference highlight for us was learning more about Good Pitch2 - "Good Pitch brings together filmmakers with NGOs, foundations, philanthropists, social entrepreneurs, potential corporate and brand partners, broadcasters and media with leading social issues - to forge powerful alliances around ground breaking films that are good for all these partners, good for the films and good for society."
Ian Darling's presentation was great - it's clear from examples like The Invisible War, Bully and The Interrupters that Good Pitch is an initiative that really works if you're a filmmaker interested in outreach and audience engagement. Aside from Good Pitch2, there were some interesting sessions from ABC, Screen Australia and a great session from filmmaker Marshall Curry that everyone was talking about. Chris Adams from Spondo (a game-changing platform that allows everyone to profit from video) is someone we'll be keeping an eye on, too.
We ended the week on a great note showing our Stingray Sisters trailer and speaking about our doco before the closing night screening. We had some great conversations afterwards and the closing night film itself - From The Bottom of the Lake by Clare Young - was excellent.
While we were in Adelaide we got along to the Adelaide Fringe to see LIMBO by StrutnFret which was brilliant. We also checked out the Adelaide Biennial of Australian Art: Dark Heart at the Art Gallery of South Australia. One of the best exhibitions I've seen recently - head along if you're in Adelaide, it's showing until May 11.
We're excited to be heading to AIDC DocWeek in March, as part of the Pozible Pitch initiative.
Yarn's in-production feature Stingray Sisters has been selected as one of a handful of documentary crowd-funded campaigns to be included in the Festival. The purpose of the initiative is to assist documentary filmmakers to reach their Pozible campaign target by creating interest around their film and also gaining audience support at the Festival.
Katrina completed her first Pozible campaign for Stingray Sisters in mid-2013, reaching her target of $10,000. This wonderful display of public interest in the film has enabled the production to continue into 2014. We're looking forward to the opportunity to speak to a new audience at DocWeek and hopefully bring more people along for the ride.
Keep an eye out for our Stingray Sisters trailer, showing before selected screenings at the Festival. Katrina will also be speaking in a moderated panel session before the closing night film.
We're looking forward to seeing some new faces and watching some great docos!
"DocWeek is Australia's international documentary event, celebrating documentary film and television. Returning in 2014, DocWeek brings the best of international documentary filmmaking to Adelaide. It is a week long documentary film festival - a celebration of hard hitting, experimental, moving, fun and engaging documentaries, as well as master classes, filmmaker conversations, and parties."
